Flapjack Recipe from


9oz / 275g butter

9 oz / 275g soft brown sugar

¼ pint golden syrup 

1 lb 2 oz / 550g rolled oats


1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas mark 4 

2. Melt the butter and add the soft brown sugar and golden syrup. Keep on a low heat until the sugar dissolves - do not boil

3. Remove from the heat and add the oats. Place on a baking tray 12 x 8 inches, and roll the mixture to 1 inch thick

4. Bake for approximately 15 - 20 minutes 

5. Allow to cool and then cut into squares. Store in an air-tight container
